As the town recovers from the attack the PCs get to know people and some even enjoy their newfound celebrity.
During the days following the attack by the goblins the PCs found that their fame had spread through the small town as the saviors who thwarted the goblin attack. This came in the form of free breads and pastries, discounted items from local vendors and even a try at drinking hagfish water at the Hagfish Tavern.
Aethelred found that he was the object infatuation of one of the “human” girls. The girl named Shayliss Vinder pursued the elf , who found her annoying at best. However, Aethelred did find companionship and common interest in forms of Ilsoari Gandethus and Veznutt Parooh. Many hours were spent drinking and discussing the ancient ruins of the area.
“Red” Sonja, Cynder, Valtyra Silverstar and Amera Silverstar spent some time investigating the area around the broken in vault in the Boneyard. They found not only goblin tracks but the tracks of a medium sized humanoid prints that lent credence to the information provided by the captured goblin of a “longshanks” being behind the attack.
The group accompanied Aldern Foxglove on a successful boar hunt and also found the Foxglove had purchased horses for them to use on the hunt and keep afterwards. Although his attentions were still focused on Valtyra he seemed to take to heart the hints given him by Aethelred and Cynder, but we shall see.
The evening during the feast at the Rusty Dragon with the boar expertly prepared by Ameiko Kaijitsu the PCs found the festivities interrupted by a family disturbance between Ameiko and her father Lonjiku Kaijitsu. Not completely sure what the argument was about Ameiko ended up throwing her father out of the Inn.
“Red” Sonja, Cynder, Valtyra Silverstar and Amera Silverstar also helped a family that who’s son had been attacked by a goblin that had become trapped under the floorboards of their house. While they were to late to save the dog or the father they did dispatch the goblin.
Belor Hemlock, the sheriff, asked the PCs to help guard and police the town while he and some men travelled to Magnimar to seek aid in the form of troops to help protect the town until the current goblin situation could be sussed out and taken care of.
The he left, the sheriff, had the PCs meet him at town hall in the mayor’s office and introduced them to Shalelu Andosana ranger in the area that was acquainted with Cynder. Shalelu provided the PCs with information of the surrounding goblin tribes and advised them she would continue to observe and report her findings to the and Hemlock.
After the the sheriff had left with his men, things took a turn. The PCs were awoken by the maid at the Rusty Dragon, Bethana Corwin. She informed the PCs that she feared something had happened to Ameiko as she had not started breakfast and would not answer her door. The PCs entered Ameiko’s room and found it empty, the bed made, Ameiko was gone. There was a letter crumbled up on the floor to Ameiko from her brother, Tsuto Kaijitsu. In it Tsuto told Ameiko that their father, Lonjiku was behind the attack on Sandpoint and for her to meet him at the families business, the Glassworks to confront him. Bethana was concerned for Ameiko’s safety and begged the PC to find Ameiko.
